Program begins in January 2020
To begin with, Education without Borders provides educational opportunities for disadvantaged and at-risk children through initiatives in South Africa and Canada, including after-school support programs in Math, English, Science, school leadership and youth mentorship.
We will then also be partnering with the 9Mile Project, which through the provision of supplementary education, literacy classes, learning adventures, life skills and leadership training, including sports (namely surfing) 9Miles Project creates sustainable opportunities that engage, uplift, equip and empower impoverished and high risk youth from coastal informal settlements and communities.
Through these two organizations, we will be forming a sustainable programs that continues to empower the children for years to come...
The work these two organizations are doing is inspiring and powerful, and we are very excited to be able to work alongside and learn from them. We then hope that surf therapy can grow with these organizations and help them to also achieve all of their goals.
